HK Underground shows run Thurs-Sat nights only.
We generally book the genres of rock, punk, hip-hop, and electronic. We do not book cover bands. For bands from outside the Twin Cities looking to book a show at HKU, you will need to provide 1-2 established local acts that will ensure a draw for any potential show.
Genres outside of these may be better suited for our Dinner/Brunch shows.

All shows are 21+ and doors are at 10:00pm. In very rare cases, HK Underground will host an 18+ show, but must be arranged and approved prior to the show by HK Underground. Generally, 3 band bills are preferred, but 4 bands are the maximum on any potential bill. Bands receive 100% of the door and we strive to keep the covers low at $5. In certain cases, the cover price may be raised to accommodate well-established acts with a larger draw or special events.
HKU books 6-8 weeks in advance. Please keep in mind that because of our Thurs-Sat schedule, we only have 12-14 shows per month, so we are limited in the number of show requests we can accommodate each month. We also request that any bands seeking to play HK Underground do not have any local shows booked in town a minimum of 1 week before & after the date you are seeking, in order to ensure the maximum draw by your band.

• Hi Res Photo (or one that is in Jpeg/Pdf format- 400 x 600px +)
• Short Bio (how long you’ve been a band, where you’ve played, former bands played in, etc)
• Link to your music online **please do not send MP3’s via email**
• Short press clippings (if applicable)
• Date desired
• Proposed bill
